About this project
PIECE Studio was invited to participate in the L’INNOVAZIONE RESPONSABILE Design Conference held in Forli, Italy in 2011. PIECE Studio presented about how design has to play a bigger role in engaging in and with communities, embracing social justice topics, and welcoming everyone to the table. PIECE Studio also talked about how design education should be nomadic, culturally sensitive and give students opportunities to work with communities, understand the importance of social justice and the idea that design can be a catalyst for change, have the capacity to innovate and create entrepreneurial opportunities for all.
PIECE Studio also was invited to run a community innovation and cultural workshop.
